Welcome back to the Planet!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by thebekinator @ 2:22 am

I actually didn’t even remember what the name of the site my blog was on.  I think I should win some type of lamo award for that!  So, the baby is asleep and I figured I would once again neglect my dirty kitchen and do something somewhat cool because my house is hot.  It appears that the AC is broken again, which is kind of ironic because it was broken when we bought the house two years ago, and we paid to have it fixed exactly one year ago.  Last year I had the “But Honey, I’m pregnant in the very hot summer!” card to pull.  I don’t have it this year. Grrr!

I’m pretty surprised wordpress hasn’t deleted my account it’s been so long!  Well, I’m glad they haven’t! And I’m really tired of facebook so ha.  I’ll go back to good old fashioned blogging!  And my mom and other relatives don’t have access to this, so there!  Hope everyone is doing awesome and is nice and cold at their air conditioned desk jobs and is a bit chilly right now.  I hope you’re drinking your hot tea when it’s like 100 degrees outside to compensate the fact that you’re probably cold in the nice a.c. office buildings!  Anyway, yep, just wanted to say hello to everyone.  Also wanted to say thanks a ton for the prayers, God is awesome as always.  Prayers were answered, my parents are doing well.  I guess the 14 hours of driving over the weekend helped, so that’s good!  At least to my knowledge!  There isn’t a whole lot of open communication about that sort of thing with kids which I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, but there is no talk of leaving each other or divorce any more so there is no longer any immediate worry so as far as I am concerned God has softened their hearts which I am very thankful for.

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July weekend.  Ours was a bit uneventful.  We basically watched fireworks from our car. A bit disappointing, especially as we were planning on doing stuff with family and somehow it was miscommunicated and we showed up and waited and waited and they just didn’t arrive. Oh well.  Our options were pretty limited having Hannah with us anyway.  We couldn’t do much of anything because fireworks are loud, not to mention scary and dangerous with babies.  I am excited for next year, because I plan on having a babysitter secured.  Actually, I plan on going to the Rockies game.  We went last year and had a BLAST.  We bought the cheaper tickets and after the game we went down and actually laid on the field and watched the fireworks from there, and it was so amazing because we could feel every firework go off and we literally got the peices of blown up firework in our faces.  Maybe it was a bit too close but it was really fun.  I’m ready to do that again.  And leave Hannah home.  And there she goes, up from nap time.  And then off to finish cleaning the kitchen, and then Aaron gets home and we’re off to drop Hannah at Grandma and Grandpa’s for our date, because it’s been many a month since I’ve been anywhere without a cute little baby on my hip.  And, I’m going to wear my new dress.  And go to a grown up restaurant and not ask for a high chair.  Or get the baby out and hold her.  Or try feeding her.  Or any of that monkey business.=D

She does exist!!!

Once again, sorry for neglecting wordpress.  Well, here I am.

I love summer, such great weather!!!  Wow, life has been a crazy lately.

So I was exhausted all day in school today.  All day.  And here I am at 2:34 AM, and I can’t sleep.  And Aaron is snoring away like a baby in the other room.  Which is great, because he’s got work to wake up for- come a little over 3 hours from now.

I just wanted to tell all of you – boys and girls alike, Small Group, that I had a good time disc golfing with y’all.  I really did!! Believe it or not, Aaron said I am improving from the time I went before. Yes, I know it seems near impossible considering how much I stunk.

As I’ve discussed with some of you before, I am ’sportially challenged’, however, it doesn’t stop me from having fun or attempting to learn. I’m going to keep at it, and by golly- some day I will, I will get that disc thingy to go further than 50 feet- and without landing on a pavilion roof or river! I will say, it was worth seeing my engineer boys figuring out how to retrieve the roof-topped items though!

And by the way, I just wanted to say thank you to Aaron for being so good to me.  Aaron- I love you so, and I appriciate you more than I know how to tell you.  The way you love me, take care of me, know me, like me and love me, is just amazing!  You are too good for me my treasure, and God has truly blessed me with you.  It’s crazy, but I feel like with you by my side and God as our rock, we can not only endure all the hardships that can come our way, we can have party in the midst of it, and learn to fall in love deeper  and discover we like each other even better than before.  I love you Aaron, and I’m so proud of you for being such a great man of God!!

Aaron and Charlie- thanks for not getting too upset that I am the MONOPOLY QUEEN! =D

If you would be so kind as to remember a few prays for me this week, I’d really appriciate it.

PRAYER REQUESTS

-Safe travel for grandma Ruth, who is coming to visit

-Safety for Liz, who is probably having a blast on her trip to Turkey

-Family

-Job/God’s direction with our life!

Working, working, working.

Just working away.  Yayh for working on homework on friday night, grrrrr.  At least I have computer access to disctract me, and hot-chocolate!  And I got to follow my sweet husband to school where he’s working too, so I have internet connection to do my homework.  I hefta admit, homework is a lot easier to do when you go somewhere to do it, and know that somebody else is working on their’s too.  Heh, I feel like a tag-along, and I feel awkward being on the campus I decided to leave… yeah.  But I love their wireless connection.  :  )

Does it count as ‘going out’, by coming downtown to do homework?  I would say no, but it actually made me get dressed, so perhaps it can be ‘going out’. Let’s pray that both Aaron and I are super productive in homework this evening… I have clinicals on saturday and I have to be in loveland at 6:45am, (tomorrow, so i want to finish stuff and get to bed!) and my lovely Aaron has to work Saturday, doesn’t want to do homework on Sunday, and is afraid that he might have to pull an all-nighter doing work tonight, which isn’t good for him at all considering he has to work tomorrow!  So pray for us…

I love Christmas music!

Well, back to the books. I hope you’re all warm, toasty, and enjoying your friday night!
